Boku no Natsuyasumi Portable (Spanish Patched)

I tried out this game recently through the PSP emulator. It is in Japanese, but this version has Spanish subtitles to follow along with. I will refer to it as Boku for short. It is a cozy game where you are basically spending a Summer vacation with your aunt, uncle, and cousins. They have land where you can explore at your own pace. You can catch bugs, fish, or explore and talk to other people you meet along the way. Sometimes the family gives you small chores like watering flowers or harvesting certain crops. However, it is a low pressure game.

Gameplay is broken up by days. You sit down with the family to have meals together. Sometimes your aunt lets you decide on what kind of meal you would like to eat. You can open the fridge whenever to get something to drink. You can go out during the day and catch bugs, fish, or try to talk to others. Every time you catch a butterfly or insect, you save it in a small cage. And it notifies you when there are new species nearby. Fishing is pretty simple too. You will notice, the longer you are outside, that the sun gradually sets. When it is getting dark, your uncle will come and get you for dinner. After dinner, your family just chills in the living room when it is dark outside. Sometimes a cousin will be watching the tv or playing the clarinet on the porch.

One neat thing is that at the end of each day, you have the chance to write in your journal. So it will have a colored image of what happened in the day or who you met. You do this before you go to bed and then save the game, before starting the cycle over again.
I am only like 8 "game days" into it, and it isn't one I play often. However, I think it is a very calming and peaceful game. I like the ability to explore and do what I want. I am also using it to improve my Spanish, so it helps me along the way too.
